Late Night Vegetarian Food in Singapore | Vegetarian Restaurants Open Late

This was one of the most popular posts in my earlier blog. As an omnivore who marries a vegetarian foodie, it's has become my mission to compile a list of late-night makan places to satisfy his cravings. Glad that it has become a useful resource for many vegetarians alike!

Singapore is a food heaven, with many eateries opening till late or even 24 hours to cater to our rumbling tummies.

However, when it comes to plant-based cuisine, I can't help but to notice the lack of late night vegetarian food options available. I realized that vegetarian eateries seem to close earlier compared to their non plant-based counterparts. Also, those that used to offer 24 hours dining have now cut back on their operating hours too, or cease to operate.

Other than home-cooked supper, here are a few options I've found to appease our late night cravings. The list below includes outlets that open till at least 10pm, and arranged in order of their closing hours.

Shu Vegetarian 蔬方斋 at Jalan Kayu opens till 1am daily

Shu Vegetarian is a Chinese vegetarian chain, with location usually in coffeeshops. We usually dine/order delivery from their Margaret Drive branch. Good news, they do offer food delivery island wide now. Other than GrabFood and foodpanda apps, you can order through https://shuvegetarian.oddle.me

Most of their locations closes by 9pm, and I was so happy to find out that their Jalan Kayu location actually closes past midnight! Used to 3am, but currently till 1am only.

Adyar Ananada Bhavan / A2B Veg Restaurant opens till 11pm or later daily

A2B Veg Restaurant serves a variety of South Indian, North Indian and Chinese vegetarian food. I haven't been to the restaurant yet, but found their operating hours in Google Maps.

Servus German Burger Grill at Vivocity opens till 11pm daily

Servus German Buger Grill (previously known as Hans IM GLÜCK) is an ideal place to gather your vegan, vegetarian and non-plant-based friends. Their menu boasts a variety of vegan burgers, vegetarian burgers, amongst other meat options. We usually order through GrabFood or WhatsApp for a reservation. They also serve draft beer, other alcoholic beverages, as well as a variety of non-alcoholic drinks.

Shake Shack outlets that open till 10pm or later

Shake Shack is an American fast food chain, and they offer a Shroom Burger that includes a crispy portobello mushroom. When we last asked, their mushroom patty and fries are prepared separately from meat ingredients (but don't hold me up to this! Always ask the staff if you're unsure or concerned about your allergies).

Ananda Bhavan Vegetarian Restaurant outlets that close at 10pm daily

Founded in 1924, Ananda Bhavan claims to be the oldest Indian vegetarian restaurant in Singapore. Their menu includes both North Indian and South Indian cuisine, as well as western dishes like burger and pizza. Some of their outlets used to run 24 hours back in the day.

Gokul-Raas Vegetarian Restaurant opens till 10pm daily

Gokul-Raas Vegetarian Restaurant is a great place to bring folks who can't decide having Indian or Chinese cuisine. LOL. Other than the usual masala dosa and vegetarian soup kambing, we often order their vegetarian chicken rice (can go out of stock when you arrive too late in the day) and their horfun.
